Daemon Sync Server Version 0.9
Daemon Sync is an interesting application software download free Windows that allows you to backup your files between your desktop computer and mobile devices (both Android and iOS). The software uses the local wireless network, so data transfer takes place over your own home or work Wi-Fi without using the Internet.
In the case of seemless director failover it's important that server state information is transferred to the new director in a timely fashion. The solution to this problem has been discussed many times on the syncing mailing list but no design or implementation had been made until Ratz and Julian convened at the Bulgarian summit and worked out a design for a server state sync demon that can be run on both the master and backup load balancers. This demon is now included in a patch to ipvs-0.9.2 available on the LVS website.
The santactl process now runs as a daemon and exports an XPC interface to santad. This allows santad to send blocked binary or bundle events directly to santactl for immediate upload on the sync-server, resulting in a smoother user experience.
The santactl process now keeps track of the number of full image backups that have been created for a particular client and will not delete them until this minimum amount is reached. It also limits the rate at which it will backup a given client to ensure that syncing within the window remains feasible even if the backup storage becomes full.
